Toton Aggregates, has doubled the size of its operating site following an acquisition of additional land at its Nottingham facility.
Paul Clements, Commercial Director for Toton Aggregates and Wastecycle, said: “It’s a really exciting time for us because this expansion provides us with the platform we need for Toton to reach its next stage of growth.
“More space for Toton means we can relocate our inert aggregates and demolition Waste processing equipment, which will provide us with more space for future development projects.
“The expansion will also allow us to process more materials creating flexibility to respond to short term changes in market demand, while also contributing to improved internal haul road safety and traffic management.
“Not only will investing in our facilities give us larger and more efficient working environments, but it will also provide capacity and capability for future growth as the demand for our recycling services continues to grow. We are also committed to improving the sustainability of our recycled aggregates by enhancing quality and developing new markets through innovative new processes. New jobs will be created as a result.”
Throughout 2016, Toton Aggregates has processed over 100,000 tonnes of high quality recycled aggregates – a number the firm expects to increase in 2017 following the four-acre land acquisition.
